What cannoli shell sizes do you produce?
We produce 5 standard sizes: Super Mignon, Mignon, Normale (classic), Grande and Maxi. All shells are sold empty, ready for the pastry chef to fill. Tailor-made production for chains and wholesalers is evaluated on request.
What is the shelf life of the shells?
All 5 formats offer an extended shelf life at room temperature, when stored in sealed packaging away from direct sunlight. Technical details in this deep-dive.
How does wholesale shipping work?
Single orders ship in double cartons with bubble wrap to protect the fragile shells. For volumes above 10 cartons we ship on an insured pallet via a dedicated alimentary courier. Details in our B2B packaging article.
Do you ship across Europe?
Yes, we ship throughout Italy and the main EU countries (France, Germany, Austria, Belgium, Luxembourg, Spain, Switzerland). For extra-EU shipments we arrange Incoterms and customs documentation on a case-by-case basis.
Do the shells arrive pre-filled?
No. Our shells are sold empty so the pastry chef can fill them at service time with fresh ricotta, creams or custom fillings, keeping the crispness intact. See filling ideas on our blog.
How do I get the B2B price list?
The price list is reserved to B2B operators (pastry shops, restaurants, hotels, distributors). Fill in the form on this page with VAT number and estimated monthly volumes: we send the price list and technical datasheet in PDF within 24 working hours.
Are the shells really artisanal?
Yes. We select premium flours, roll the dough ultra-thin by hand and fry at controlled temperature to obtain the classic "bubbling" of authentic Sicilian shells. The process is described in the Artisanal Method section.
Are custom sizes or private-label recipes available?
Yes. For HoReCa chains, large retail and pastry brands we develop non-standard sizes, custom packaging and dedicated recipes on order. Email info@sicilus.com describing the project.
